Just made two homemade pizzas! Don’t know how many times I’ve made this, it’s becoming easier and easier…by the way I bought crust mix from Walmart and the sauce, of course is too from Walmart! I don’t know how to make it myself yet but it is just as good as homemade ones I think…I used to eat pizza with friends when I was at college, once a week, back then in China we only had Dominos and some Chinese brands… it’s fast and easy and not expensive, of course it is not as good as greens but oh well, we craved for that.
America is full of pizza! I watched cooking show about pizza, haha it was funny….Americans eat about 1billion square feet pizza a year………. How ???Anyway, time to eat…have fun.God bless.

炖牛肉时,应该使用热水,不可使用冷水,因为热水可以使牛肉表面蛋白质迅速凝固,防止肉中氨基酸流失,保持肉味鲜美。
旺火烧开后,揭开盖子炖20分钟以去除异味,然后加盖,改用微火,使汤面上浮油保持一定温度,以起到焖的作用。
在烧煮过程,盐要放入迟,水要一次加足,如果发现水太少,应加开水。
炖肉前一天,先用芥末在肉面上抹一下,炖肉前用冷水洗掉,这样不仅熟得快,而且肉质鲜嫩。
将少量茶叶用纱布包好,放入炉中与牛肉同炖煮,肉不仅熟得快,而且味道清香。
加些酒或醋(按1公斤牛肉放2-3汤匙酒或1-2汤匙醋的比例)炖牛肉,可使肉更软嫩。
在肉中放几个山楂或几片萝卜,即令牛肉熟得快,而且可以驱除异味
my mother-in-law’s famous Texas Pie
I had my second Christmas in
America last year.I’m a Chinese and my husband is from here.Christmas is always a blessing time for me and this family.We love to get together and talk and play games.Of course the food… yes we all love food.“Thank you Lord again for the food”Last year I didn’t get to take pictures of all the food Probably because I was too busy eating. Ha So this year I found the essential of all desserts—the star “ Texas Pie”It comes from one old neighbor of my mother-in-law’sAnd it IS delicious……………………………………She made two and I probably ate one myselfJust kidding……I ate a lot of it and not enough.My husband loves sweets,But the good thing about this pie isIt’s got pecans in the crust and my husband is allergic toAll nuts!!!So if your family is allergic tooThis is the perfect pie to have to yourself….Haha No, we share good stuff, God gives us allEveryone should try it….

P.S: make it a day before and put it in the fridge.

Texas Pie
Crust2 cups pecans, crushed1/2 cup margarine, melted1/2 cup flourCombine above and press into 9×13 inch pan. Bake 350° for 20 minutes.First Layer8 oz. cream cheese, softened1 cup powdered sugar12 oz. whipped topping, divided in 2 partsCombine above and spread on cooled crust.Second Layer3 oz. package vanilla instant pudding3 oz. package chocolate instant pudding3 cups milkBeat together, cool briefly and spread on first layer.Third layerSpread remaining whipped topping. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate bar.
Heavenly Tiramisu
Ingredients · LADYFINGERS, one 7-oz package (you will need 16, so you can eat a few) · DUTCH PROCESSED
COCOA POWDER · WHITE CHOCOLATE, 1 oz shredded · CHOCOLATE SYRUP · BANANAS, 2 (one mashed, one sliced) Coffee Liquid · FAT-FREE MILK, 1/4 cup · INSTANT COFFEE GRANULES, 1 tsp · RUM OR APPLE JUICE, 1 tbs · GRANULATED SUGAR, 2 tbs · IMITATION RUM EXTRACT, 1/4 tsp Creamy Banana Filling · MASCARPONE CHEESE, one 8-ounce container · BANANA, 1 mashed (1/2 cup) · ALCOHOL-FREE BANANA FLAVORING, 1 tsp · VANILLA EXTRACT, 1/4 tsp · CONFECTIONERS SUGAR, 1/2 cup · MERINGUE POWDER, 1 tbs Directions
- Place 16 ladyfingers in a square baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix milk, coffee granules, rum or apple juice, granulated sugar and rum extract.
- Stir until the sugar has completely dissolved.
- Sprinkle this mixture over the ladyfingers. Leave to soak.
- In a medium bowl, use a rubber spatula to cream the mascarpone cheese until smooth.
- Stir in banana, flavoring and vanilla.
- Stir in confectioners sugar, then meringue powder.
- Use spatula to “beat” mixture until thickened and creamy, about 1 minute.
- Pour the banana filling into a piping bag or use a large plastic bag and snip one of the corners.
- Place 8 soaked ladyfingers on a serving tray.
- Pipe 1/2 the banana filling, then sprinkle with a light dusting of Dutch cocoa powder (I use a small sifter)
- Top carefully with 8 more soaked ladyfingers and top with the remaining banana filling.
- Sprinkle with more cocoa powder then top with grated white chocolate.
- Slice banana and carefully place slices close enough to the center so they won’t slide off the edges.
- Just before serving, drizzle with chocolate syrup. Start at one end and drizzle from one side to the other so the chocolate is in stripes across the Tiramisu.
- Refrigerate for 1/2 hour to an hour.
